I stumbled on your blog via google and read your entire blog this afternoon. I’m trying to figure out if I should be worried or nervous about leaving my husband behind and agreeing to a 3 year contract in Japan (with many, many, MANY, perks), and I wanted to get a feel what to expect. I will be in Yokosuka (Tokyo), and while you’re quite a bit away, I found your blog to be very informative, well written, and easy to read. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I hope that if I decide to go, my experience will be pleasant. I love hiking and climbing mountains, so I now know that if in my 3 years, I make it to Mt. Fuji, to pack my SCBA. Thanks again mate. I wish you well.

Thanks for the awesome words! 3 years is definitely a hefty contract to consider. I don’t know much about Yokosuka, only that it borders the wonderful Yokohama and is about an hour from Tokyo proper via Subway. Good luck!
