How I get to work

July 15, 2010

The following video is a lot like my usual commute to work, except that a third of the time it’s raining.

Hi Jonathan, We really enjoyed your video. So how do you get to work when it rains?? By train?

Uncle Richard, I put on a plastic rain suit over my clothes and ride just as I would normally, albeit in a much more miserable mood.

Uncle Don, nope, they are Japanese. More than 99% of the population is Japanese, so you don’t come across foreigners too often. The biggest groups are Chinese and Korean, followed by various South American countries (led by Brazil). I do have a Pakistani student though, he was born here in Fuji and speaks pretty good English.

Great video. Take one of the inside of the Circle K and of your school, at least the outside. Do the students walk to school in the rain?

    Hey Kramer,
I stumbled across your blog today and watched this video, it was great! My favorite part was that hard-off store where you bought a guitar from.. that seems pretty hilarious.

Other than the karaoke bar, are there any other popular hangouts? I was expecting to see arcade spots with people playing dance dance in the front lol. It looks really peaceful there, too bad it rains so often.

    Anyways, take care dude.

P.S. Hard-Off – “We buy used gear.” LOL!

The mall across town is somewhat popular. There is an arcade just behind the Shidax Please that is somwhat popular. But its mostly 30+ year olds that like to go there. Fuji as a whole is pretty dead, aside from the convenience store and the mall, I haven’t come across any hangout spots.
